The Mountain View Police Department is located at 4176 Benton St.  Mountain View is located just north of the Lakeside Mall and encompasses 1/2 square mile.  The Town of Mountain View was founded in 1904 and has remained the same size since it's creation.   Mountain View is located in Jefferson County, and is surrounded by the Town of Lakeside to the north, City of Wheat Ridge to the west and south, and the City of Denver to the east.   Mountain View Police Department Goal "A society free from crime and disorder remains an unachieved ideal; nevertheless, consistent with the values of a free society, it is the ultimate goad of the Mountain View Police Department to as closely as possible approach that ideal.  In so doing, the department's role is to enforce the law in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority, and the constitutional rights of all persons.  It is not the role of the department nor its members to legislate, to render legal judgment or to punish.
