IMPORTANT ELECTION INFORMATION
SIGNS
Per Town Code Section16.07.060(b):
“Temporary political signs of less than six (6) square feet in size may be located on the property no earlier than sixty (60) days before an election and no later than fifteen (15) days after the election.”
Sixty days before the election on November 4, 2025: Friday, September 5, 2025.
Fifteen days after the election on November 4, 2025: Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
Per Town Code Section 167.07.040(d):
“No sign shall be located in any public right-of-way without express permission from the Town or other entity in control of the right-of-way.”
CANDIDATE PACKETS
The deadline for submission of Candidate Petitions is 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025. The Town Clerk will verify signatures as they are returned. If a candidate needs to cure their packet they will be notified by the Town Clerk.
The Town Clerk will notify all eligible candidate after the packet certification process is complete.
A public drawing will be held at a date and time to be announced in order to determine the order of the names on the ballot. An announcement with details of time and place will be emailed to each of the candidates and posted to the website no later than 24 hours prior. Everyone will be welcome to attend.
Nomination petitions for Council and Mayor are now available to be picked up at Town Hall (4176 Benton Street) during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Nomination and filing instructions are included in the packet.
Tuesday, August 5th, is the first day Candidates for Council or Mayor may begin to circulate nomination petitions C.R.S. 1- 4-805, 31-10-302
